The receipt called Fapiao identifies the taxi, the time and the date. When taking a taxi, check that the driver uses the meter. He must push down the red light on the dashboard in front of the passenger. In 2010 the base fare for taxis in Ningbo is ¥11 for the first 3.5kms. Please note that you might find it difficult to get a taxi from 17:00 to 18:00 as it is time for night shift. Try to avoid this period if possible.
