10th Xuyi International Crayfish Festival of China

On Saturday June the 23rd of 2010 was celebrated the 10th Xuyi International Crayfish Festival of China. Xuyi is a county located in the northern part of Jiangsu and is known for being the Capital of Crayfish in China. Over the past decade, Xuyi has been developing local crayfish also known as Xuyi Crawfish (freshwater crustaceans resembling small lobsters) into a famous food brand and local crayfish festivals into international events. On the 23rd of June was the 10th Xuyi International Crayfish Festival of China celebrated in Nanyuan 5 star Hotel.
First Mr Cai - 蔡敦成 (Chairman of Xuyi Communist Party) introduced Xuyi and their activity followed by speeches from the leading team and also Mr Chen Guo Qiang - 陈国强 (Vice General Secretary of Ningbo Municipal People's Government) as well as Mr Donovan - 达尔文, Director of HelloNingbo and NingboHotelreview media, a long time friend of Xuyi municipality. Many enterprises and investors from Jiangsu and Zhejiang attended the meeting as well as International Chamber of Commerce Ningbo Foreign Expert Committee Vice-Chairman Vittorio Brucoli from Italy. The conference was then followed by the signature of contracts by investors and a huge celebration diner was held with hundreds of selected guests.

盱眙，曾经是江苏北部的一座普通的小县城。然而十年来，盱眙人以小龙虾为媒，不仅成为了世界知名的节庆城市，而且成为了南京一小时经济圈内最重要的经济强县，成为海内外众多投资人的创业热土。2010年6月23日下午，第十届中国·盱眙国际龙虾节--走进宁波活动在五星级宁波南苑饭店盛大开幕。包括宁波市政府办公室副秘书长陈国强在内的多名领导出席了盛会。来自江苏和宁波的多家媒体包括HelloNingbo和宁波酒店点评网出席了下午在世纪厅举办的招商说明会暨签约仪式。中共盱眙县委书记，县人大主任蔡敦成同志为大家详尽介绍了盱眙的历史文化，风土人情和创投环境。宁波酒店点评网的创办人和总监来自法国的达尔文先生作为龙虾节的老朋友和贵宾在主席台就座并发表了热情洋溢的讲话。来自江浙沪的百余名企业负责人和投资者到场，宁波国际商会外国专家委员会的副主席来自意大利的Vittorio等三人也作为嘉宾出席。会后，在南苑国际会议中心举行了盛大的招待酒会和文艺演出。

The 10th Xuyi International Crayfish Festival of China was widely promoted. All around Nanyuan Hotel, guests and passers-by could admire the wonderful decoration, posters and signs displayed for the celebration. 今年是中国·盱眙国际龙虾节的十年大庆，主办方极尽重视，南苑饭店到处洋溢着节日的喜庆气氛。

The event was held in Nanyuan Hotel / 宁波南苑饭店, the first 5 star hotel to have opened in Zhejiang province with one of the largest conference room in the city. Many international events are held there. 宁波南苑饭店作为浙江省首家五星级酒店，拥有最大的国际会议厅，曾多次承担政府级的重要活动。

Mr Cai - 蔡敦成 (Chairman of Xuyi Communist Party) introduced Xuyi using a very well done and instructive Powerpoint presentation. 蔡敦成书记用材料充分内容丰富的电子演示设备介绍盱眙。

Mr Chen Guo Qiang - 陈国强 (Vice General Secretary of Ningbo Municipal People's Government) joined the event and held a great friendly speech welcoming Xuyi. 宁波市政府办公室副秘书长陈国强出席了盛会并致词。

Patrick Donovan - 达尔文, Director of HelloNingbo and NingboHotelreview media, a long time friend of the municipality of Xuyi was also invited to join the event. 达尔文先生作为盱眙人民的老朋友再次受邀出席。

Vittorio Brucoli, Vice Chairman of COIC (Chamber of Intl Commerce Ningbo) joined the event with Samy Snoussi and Kim H Chong both also active members of COIC. 来自宁波国际商会外国专家委员会的嘉宾--副主席Vittorio Brucoli，理事Samy Snoussi和Kim H Chong。

One of the ceremony highlight was when dozens of company leaders were invited to sign their investment contract and became partners in the development of Xuyi Economic Project. 招商说明会的一大亮点是签约仪式，来自江浙的十几家企业和投资人与盱眙达成合作关系。

The diner banquet was fantastic with an impressive menu including delicious dishes like "Braised Shark's Fin in Soy Sauce", " Fried Beef Ribs with Vegetable", "Deep Fried Three Delicacies" and of course the famous small lobsters from Xuyi! Nanyuan Hotel did a fantastic job and everyone could notice the quality of the well trained service team.

All investors received their original agreements duly signed and became from now on "brothers" in the economic development of Xuyi project. 县领导向投资人颁发荣誉市民称号。

Mr Li Sen - 李森 (Mayor of Xuyi city) raised a toast with all the guests for wishes of success and prosperity in the long time economic development project of Xuyi. 李森县长提议全场为盱眙的广阔发展前程举杯。

Mrs Wang - 王雄飞 (Discipline Inspection Commission from Xuyi) held a great speech broadcasted on Xuyi TV. 盱眙纪委王雄飞书记主持了招待酒会，盱眙电视台全程报道。

The show from Ningbo Singing and Dancing troupe was very professional and the hundreds of guests attending the dinner often interrupted their meal for applause as they were amazed by the quality of these artists. The whole event was covered by TV channels and many Press photographers, including NingboHotelReview reporters.

Wang Song interpreted some great songs including the wonderful hit from Han Lei "I want to live 500 years" (Xiangtian Zai Jie Wuban Nian). 王松（音）献唱韩磊的金曲《向天再借五百年》。

The show ended with 30 dancers interpreting a colorful ballet around a young lady singer.
